The design of these huggie hoops draws inspiration from fennel seeds, once known as kissing seeds, as they would be chewed to help freshen the breath. Recreated in super-size and curved to form an ear hugging hoop, they are host to an elegantly dangling pink freshwater pearl. As with many of Alex Monroe's pieces it takes a moment to discover what they are intended to be and so work well on many design levels.
