Hartford Menswear
The latest from Hartford is the usual understated excellence that keeps us going back season after season. Heavy cotton herringbone twill and corduroy overshirts, bouclé varsity jackets, moleskin pants, and the ultrasoft half-zip jersey complete what is, in our opinion, one of the best collections the label has produced.
In 1979 Yves Chareton, a Frenchman discovering New York, bought old stocks of cotton Oxford and Chambray fabrics from an East Coast manufacturer and made his first collection of vintage inspired shirts. Hartford has since grown to encompass a full men's and women's collection but has remained true to its original inspiration of American wardrobe classics seen through the filter of a European designer.
