Bellerose Womenswear
Bellerose are Belgian. The label started with a line of men's shirts in 1989 and womenswear launched in 1998. The label is something of a Hambledon phenomenon. Each season appears to better the preceding in terms of design, range and more importantly customer love. If you don’t yet own a piece of Bellerose, one must ask why.
We tend to think of the inspiration for Bellerose collections most usually coming from a location somewhere on the Eastern Seaboard not a million miles from an Ivy League institution but this season they are taking something of a leap, or more accurately a stratospheric vault, to the moon and the 60s space race. But please don’t fear. Space suits and moon boots play no part. Signature Bellerose is very much in attendance. The inspiration takes the form of celestial shades from milky dusk and pink dawn to deep midnight blue with highlights of fluorine and lazuli and a dose of rich naturals to bring it all back to earth in reassuringly familiar styles and shapes.
