A family business for over 90 years, Redecker was founded by Friedel Redecker in the early part of the 20th Century. Friedel began to lose his sight at the age of four and, at a special school for the blind,  learned the art of brushmaking, which was a common occupation for blind people in Germany at the time. With his inventiveness, persistence and attention to detail, a brushmaking dynasty was founded.
