Pendleton Woolen Mills (I know. There should be a double l but what can you do?) was founded in 1893 by an English weaver, following an extensive journey down the Atlantic and up the Pacific coasts in the search for land. He settled in Oregon and began weaving blankets. Pendleton now has mills in Oregon and Washington and creates fabrics in cotton and wool for clothing and homeware.
