Damson Madder
This feels like the start of Summer with bright Madras checks and cheerful stripes and block colour plains. We love parachute pants, dark chambray sets, plaid dresses and poppy tops. And we are swooning over all manner of accessories from caps and cozzies to socks and bandanas in all the colours of your favourite holiday ice creams. All the while the early Spring collection celebrates Damson's considerable skills in creating playful, wearable and slightly silly fashion. As ever, we love the outerwear; we love the pretty cross-stitched embroidered details; we love the new sheer Posey midi dress; the intarsia knits and who doesn't love an all day breakfast tee shirt?
Founded by fashion veteran Emma Hill in 2020, Damson Madder is a British brand, focussing on slower, more considered and responsible fashion, with innovative design at the centre of their collections. The name comes from the names of Emma’s favourite colours in from her first designs: ‘Damson’ (plum) and ‘Madder’ (the rubia tinctorum flower, which is a natural source of red dye).
