Service Works, a firm favourite in the Basement of The Hambledon, is a modern workwear brand, founded in 2020 by Tom Chudley. With his background in catering and his love of skating, this is clothing 'Designed for chefs. Adapted for all'. And perfectly suited to the rigours of everyday life.
We’ve worked with the brand to develop a deep navy custom dye (yep, we love navy) and added some subtle Hambledon branding. The result is a timeless and versatile execution of a few of Service Works’ signature pieces (the Chef’s Pant, the Coverall Jacket and the Apron). These garments will fade out and age beautifully over time.
Finding fraternity (and sorority) with fellow workers in other service industries, we approached some of our favourite local makers, bakers and creatives to put the clothes to the test and talk to us about their work and what ‘service’ means to them.
