Loved by the buyers and customers equally this is the season that gives our labels the time to showcase their full potential. In this AW fabric guide, we will focus on some of the pieces that feel as good as they look.
Boiled Wool
A fabric that is becoming a firm favourite in the basement due to its hardwearing versatility. Universal Works and NN07 are both masters of this world. Vests, cardigans and bomber jackets are the key pieces for AW24.
Gore-Tex
The go-to fabric for keeping dry. Nanamica offers the lighter-weight Mac option and for those that need warmth the parka is in our opinion the best out there. Waterproof Gore-Tex makes an appearance on foot too in the Mizuno Wave Rider Beta.
Horween
Paraboot turned our heads this season when they offered two styles in a Horween leather option. Horween is a legendary American tannery that produces the best Chromexcel leather out there. It was a match made in heaven so we couldn't refuse.
Brushed Wool
Shetland always features heavily in the basement at this time of year. Howlin' and Drake's are keeping things warm for AW24.
Clever Compositions
For those who are looking for luxury yarns, we have some beautiful pieces this season. Alpaca, Mohair and Cashmere are where it's at. Pilgrim Surf Supply, Beams Plus, Corridor and Merz b. Schwanen are where you are finding it.
Corduroy
Where do we start... Outerwear, legwear, overshirts, baby cord and even caps. It's always on the rails and the shelves. Warm, cosy and comfortable it's the fabric that unites us all.
