Sunray Sportswear
Direct from the antique knitting machines of Miyazaki, our favourite Japanese jersey has arrived. What can we tell you that you don't already know? We could mention how well the T-shirts fit - but you already know that. We could also tell you how soft the 450-gram sweatshirts are - but you know that too. What you might not know is that the same family has been producing this exceptional jersey since 1926, so it's safe to say they know exactly what they're doing.
Welcome to the world of Sunray, a Japanese sportswear product by way of Newquay, Cornwall. This is definitely one for the aficionados. All jersey is knitted on an antique loopwheel machine (only two left in the world) which only produces 1m of jersey an hour. The slow, tubular knitting means no side seams and no tension, so they won't twist. And, most importantly, the hang tag's wool yarn comes from a herd of rare organic sheep on Dartmoor. Just so you know.
