M.A.B.E.
Brand spanking new to The Hambledon, M.A.B.E Apparel (Making Apparel Beautiful and Effortless apparently) was an extremely fortuitous find at a sprawling Paris fashion exhibition, which threatened to elicit very little in the way of exciting and new. And then we bumped into the lovely Kirstine and her brand M.A.B.E. and the sun shone on our French trip. Production is in India, and celebrates a tradition of print, embroidery and intricate detailing. We love, love, loved the Embroidered jacket (with luxe and delicate fine embellishment), the Eden jacket (a bolder print on fine cotton), the Vivi and the Dulcie print tops (the finest block print with pretty trim) and the Seren dress. I could go on. This was a collection of entirely beautiful stand out winners.
Working with just two factories in India, with the perfect skills for realising Kirstine and Amanda’s designs, M.A.B.E. is produced in small quantities from natural fabrics. Airfreight collection drops from India are carefully monitored to reduce carbon footprint.
