Ino Schaller
Carl Schaller, a trained paper embosser, laid the foundations for the company in 1894 with his hand modelled papier mache figures. Fast forward to the 40s and 50s and his son Ino (renaming the business in his own image) began the move away from traditional paper to more modern plastics. In the 1980s Thomas Schaller, the great grandson of Carl and the current owner, rediscovered the original papier mache moulds from the early 20th Century and revived production of Carl’s designs.
