Pick a colour. Any colour as long as it's white. The star of the table will be the splendiferous decorations so let your tableware be calm, simple and understated. Costa Nova pearl china pressed into service in dainty towers; white linen runners and napkins (we love the pretty embroidered detailing); elegant glassware for all the drinking (you know who you are) and KN Industrie Bricklane cutlery for a modern take on a classic.

Strike a Light
We're singing a song of pink in all its shades. Choose Rose Candy Bougies la Francaise dinner candles. Mix it up with La Ciergerie Fleuriste candles in Dragee. And for something brassy (and we don't mean the hen's mother) we've used Boncoeurs brass candlesticks and scattered the table with their royal hearts.

The Finishing Touches
Always time for a crafting project. Harriett's been busy adding the finishing touches to the tablescape with personalised crackers, plentiful ribbons and bows and the most charming of Maison Bouche chocolates.

Paper Garland Backdrop
The perfect party wall as a backdrop for all your celebration photos. To our trusty broomstick handle, we tied a crazy pink palette of Paper Party cross and oval garlands and paper fans. A dash of ivory, a splash of peach and a touch of black dials down the sacharine. Add some knotted grosgrain ribbon strings in similar shades to give the wall extra layers and texture. Now say 'Cheese'.

Ribbon Drink Flags
Tag your glass with these pretty stirrers. We used shades of pink grosgrain ribbon, looped around wooden kebab skewers. Personalise each ribbon with the Dresden Papers alphabet letters.

A Twig Centrepiece
Forage in the garden for some suitable twigs and small branches. We sprayed them white to match our calm tableware theme. Trim with bows of various ribbons in shades to match your garland wall. This margherita's mine!

Cracker Favours
Concertina fold two sizes of tissue paper (15x29 and 15x34cm), trim the ends into a half scallop. Roll the longer piece round the loo roll, followed by the shorter piece layer. Secure with double sided tape. Tie each end with ribbon. Add a band of plain paper to personalise your cracker. Finish with a Dresden initial and any trims you like.

Annie is the connoisseur (coinnoisseuse if you will) of Hen parties so we tasked her with putting together the her favourite looks for the star of the show, the bride to be. Think glitter and sparkle. Think soft colours. Think a touch of the demure. Think fun.

Hen Party Looks for the Chicks
Throw on a beautiful dress (Levete Room, Sea New York and Stella Nova are our friends here), slip on some trainers and have a high old time. In Bridesmaids: The Hambledon cut, Laurie is playing the Hen's mum, Finn and Sophie are her sisters. Harriett is the BFF. Let us know if you have other ideas.
