The Great Indoors

We're spending just a bit more time inside right now. We ask Rob, IC all things menswear at The Hambledon, to guide us through the best kit for The Great Indoors.

I love the organised chaos of this. Brilliant shirts by brilliant people. I'm wearing this dreaming of life after lockdown. Long, lazy afternoons, sitting by the Duoro river.

Portuguese Flannel:

Flannel Patch Shirt £95

You're not actually dressed until you have one of these on. I stopped looking for the perfect t-shirt when these arrived. If we are doing soft and cosy this is the only base layer we are reaching for.

Sunray Sportswear:

Haleiwa Short Sleeve T-Shirt £60

It's super soft, a perfect shape and it goes with every pair of trousers I own. Look presentable when DHL and Deliveroo knock on your door. Pocket for your iPhone or Remote control is included.

YMC You Must Create:

Curtis Shirt in Ecru £135

Yes, yes, it's a pair of jumbo cords but I defy you to find a more comfortable trouser. More jogger than anything, these are getting a lot of wear this season. And remember the golden rule...sneakers not brogues (unless you want to look like a massive fox botherer).

Jumbo Cord Trousers £129

This is what Carhartt do best. Made from their Berwyn stretch Moleskin, this overshirt is soft enough to wear on the sofa during a four episode Ozark overdose.

Carhartt WIP:

Holston Shirt in Cinnamon £120

Fleece isn't going away, and as long as it hasn't got a wolf on the back, that's fine by us. The Lancaster is becoming (yet another) Universal Works must have.

Universal Works:

Lancaster Jacket £125

From Jay Z to Jonah Hill, the ubiquitous head gear for the sartorially informed. Collect every colour and it won't break the bank.

Carhartt WIP:

Watch Hat £20

These socks are designed right on the border of Spain and Portugal in a small third generation family workshop. Made with a sumptuous lambswool yarn, these are the socks that your Girlfriend/Wife/Boyfriend/Cat will try and steal. Hang on to them for dear life.

Thunders Love:

Wool Vintage Orange Socks £25

Back to Nottingham again for this season's neck warmer. Available in three colour options, I've gone for the navy (shoutout to my Nan who had a shopping trolley in the same tartan. Always ahead of the game her!)

Universal Works:

Tartan Scarf in Navy £50

The chunky jumper of choice this season. Perfect for a long biscuit eating session in front of the football. Not only do I guarantee warmth, but I can vouch for its easy crumb disposal on 90 minutes.

Donnegal Knit £159
