New in the Beauty & Grooming Department
We've been through a rigorous process of trying, testing and refining everything on these shelves, and there isn't one thing here we don't truly know and love. Don't worry your favourite REN, Miller Harris, Jao Brand, Sister & Co. and Maison Louis Marie are still here - but we've added some new stars in to the mix to complete a stellar line up featuring cult products from far and wide, the best in natural and organic skincare and the ultimate in luxury fragrance. Here's what's new.
MINOIS: A luxury, natural skincare brand specially formulated for babies and children, but nicked by the grown-ups because it is so very good and so very pretty, and it smells of orange blossom and honey. Made in France without parabens, sulphates, silicone phenoxyethanol and colourings, it's so gentle it can be used from birth.
THE SOAP CO.: An ethical luxury brand that makes great products and does good things. Based in East London, and with a traditional workshop in the Lake District, they're also a social enterprise providing training and work opportunities for people who are visually impaired (note the Braille graphics on the bottles), have disabilities or are otherwise disadvantaged. The soap gets a big thumbs up too; we love the sophisticated fragrances and minimalist design.

BON PARFUMEUR.: A 'contemporary French fragrance house' delivering clean, minimal design and perfumes simply identified by three key ingredients. Straightforward nice perfumes on the surface, but there's a complexity here that we're loving; they've been designed to be mixed and matched which means you can play at creating your own unique scent and switch it up every day of the week if you wish. Genius.

SA.AL&CO.: An Austrian men's grooming brand delivering 'simple skincare for demanding men'. Developed and produced in the alpine region of Tyrol, they use an uncompromising selection of premium, natural ingredients (certified natural and vegan) to create products that are potent, but not aggressive. The use of sophisticated formulas and small batch production further guarantees quality and freshness. And the packaging is pretty nice too: brushed aluminum tubes and bottles made from 99% recycled material, with a typeface design inspired by a study of Italian License Plates from the 50s/60s. We approve.
AUSTIN AUSTIN: Another newcomer with impressive organic and eco credentials, Austin Austin is a family-run business founded by a father and daughter team from Norfolk. All of their products are made in East Anglia and certified organic by the Soil Association and COSMOS. They're also all vegan (apart from the body cream which uses a small amount of beeswax) and are free from GM ingredients, SLS, silicones, parabens, mineral oils as well as artificial colours and fragrances. As you might expect the bottles are made from 100% recycled material, and the stuff that you'll find in them is very, very good too.
